Ginger and Rosemary Sipper Mocktail

This is one refreshing drink!

It has the bite of fresh ginger, the tang of citrus, and the garden quality of fresh herbs. It's tastes and smells good.


To make a drink, mix a tablespoon or more of the syrup with tap water, sparkling water (la Croix works here) or unsweetened tea.  Add slice of lemon and fresh ginger, garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary, lemon thyme, mint, or whatever you have on hand. Enjoy  or cold!  

Ginger, Lemon, and Herbs make a fine drink

Start with a simple syrup.  That's a 1:1 ration of honey to water (substitute cane sugar, Demerara, maple syrup, agave...you get the idea.)  


When you've boiled the syrup on the stove for a minute or two, cut the heat and drop in a few sprigs of rosemary. Let that steep til it's cool or overnight. strain and store in the refrigerator.  (It's a good practice to label all your syrups with the flavor and the date.). It will keep about a month.
