Or, add a little whiskey and be cured of all your worries.
This drink was originally made with scotch but I've reimagined it using bourbon whiskey. Of course you can omit the alcohol and it's just as delicious.
Penicillin cocktail on longleaf pine (Pinus palustris) board with Eastern red cedar (Juniperus virginiana) garnish.
2 oz. bourbon
3/4 oz. Wild Flora Honey Ginger Syrup
3/4 lemon juice
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously. Strain and pour into a glass with ice. Garnish with candied ginger and juniper.
Wild Flora Honey Ginger Syrup
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup water
3" piece of fresh ginger, sliced
Combine 1/2 cup Wild Flora honey and 1/2 water in a small saucepan. Heat until boiling. Add ginger and steep until cool or overnight. Strain ginger out. Pour syrup into a lidded glass jar and keep in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
